We warrant our long-block engines to be free from defects in materials & workmanship for a period of 1 year/unlimited mileage , subject to the following terms and conditions. Including but not limited to, the long block engine warranty specifically does not cover valve covers, filler cap, oil filter, oil filter bypass valve, oil filter housing, electrical parts of any kind, seals, water pumps, fuel pumps, intake and exhaust manifolds, distributors, fuel injectors or any fuel injection components, oil pan, gaskets, flywheels, timing cover, external oil pumps, , thermostats, donuts, ECU's, or damage to the long block that could be caused by the failure of these or other components. Damage to the long block by the failure of any cooling system component, fuel system component, lubrication system component, filtration system component, ignition system component or emission system component is not covered.

This warranty does not apply to any engine damage that may have been caused by overheating. This includes but is not limited to , baked or blown gaskets, cylinder head cracking, valve or valve guide damage, piston scuffing, melting or slapping. This warranty does not apply to engine damage that may have been caused by pre-ignition or detonation. This includes but is not limited to melted or broken pistons, broken piston rings, bent connecting rods damaged cylinder heads etc.

This warranty does not apply to any engine damage that may have been caused by lack of lubrication regardless of cause including over-revving (excessive speed).

This includes but is not limited to scored, melted or otherwise damaged main and connecting rod bearings stretched connecting rod bolts, broken connecting rods and crankshaft damage. Due to the repeated chemical stripping and other cleaning procedures at Reman, damage that may be caused by dirt contamination will be assumed to come from outside sources. ReMan cannot be held responsible for contamination or damage that may have been caused after leaving our building. Customers and or installers are solely responsible for a clean installation. Dust or dirt contamination should be inspected for, and corrected by the installer just prior to and during the installation.

Warranty on engines used for racing, street performance or engines with high lift camshafts, high volume pumps, headers, after-market carburetors or other non-original equipment will be decided by the A.S.E. certified Master Mechanic on staff at remanufactured.com. His decision is final!

Towing, phone calls, cab fares, missed opportunities, miscellaneous expenses, etc. will not be paid for.

The purchaser must have engine service adjustments performed as detailed on page titled 500 Mile Check.

Cash value of this and any other warranty and their effectiveness may be applied to unpaid invoice balance or unpaid core charges fourteen days after the engine transaction has been initiated rendering all warranties null and void. Later payment will not restore any warranty.

Warranty repairs will normally be performed at the location of the original installation although remanufactured.com reserves the right to to determine the location of removal and tear down. Unauthorized repairs will not be paid for.

In the course of determining cause of engine failure it is often necessary to expend labor. (e.g., performing tests, removing and disassembling the engine.) If the damage is determined to not be covered under this warranty the shop should stop and advise the purchaser. Labor costs up to that point must be paid by the purchaser. Authorized claims are strictly limited to ( $350) three hundred fifty dollars maximum regardless of circumstances. This includes total labor for inspection, testing, removal and re-installation plus fluids, gaskets, oil etc. not originally included with the engine etc. Cylinder head R&R $ 100, valve cover $20, oil pan $40, timing cover $50, rear seal or cam plug $100, short or long block replacement $300. Transportation costs and costs incurred in excess of that will be paid for by the customer. remanufactured.com shall not be liable for any delay in or impairment of performance resulting in whole or in part from Acts of God, labor disruptions, shortages, inability to procure product, supplies or raw materials, severe weather conditions, or any other circumstances or cause beyond the control of Reman Engine in the conduct of it's business. If a dispute arises that cannot be amicably settled, purchaser agrees to limit legal action to the civil courts of Will County in the state of Illinois.

It is the engine buyers responsibility to have gages and dash lights operational and monitored. Gages and dash lights that fail to operate are never remanufactured.com responsibility. Damage that could be caused to the engine by overheating or loss of oil pressure or excessive engine speed is never to be made the responsibility of remanufactured.com. E.g., A freeze plug pops out draining the coolant from the engine. If the driver shuts off the engine immediately before the engine overheats the warranty repair will be fast and under terms of the warranty. If the driver fails to see the warning light or gauge and the engine continues to be driven the engine will be extensively damaged. We will compensate to replace the freeze plug and coolant. You will be responsible for the melted pistons, cracked heads, blown gaskets etc.
